Tidbits About Carly
Carly grew up surrounded by art having both parents as artists. Art is ingrained in her DNA.
For 14 years, she enjoyed being an educator, and holds the following teaching certificates: Teacher of TV Production, Teacher of Audio Visual Broadcast Technology and Elementary Education. This has allowed her to teach TV Production, Broadcast Journalism, Videography and Photography to a multitude of students throughout the state of New Jersey since 2006. In 2017 and 2018, her Videography students took 2nd place in the New Jersey Young Filmmakers Festival. Teaching has provided Carly with the ability to work in different situations and with a diverse background of learners. This allowed her to grow personally and professionally. The most rewarding thing about teaching is seeing the growth of her students.
After 12 years as a high school Audio/Visual teacher, in September 2019, Carly became an adjunct professor within the Communication Department at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ and in October 2020, she was hired as a full-time Instructional Design Specialist at Ocean County College (OCC) in Toms River, NJ. Additionally, Carly is an e-Learning adjunct at OCC where she teaches Video Location Production and Student Success Seminar. Furthermore, she is an instructor in the Continuing Education and Workforce Development department at Bergen Community College (BCC) where she instructs the following courses:

Her TV background includes majoring in Television Communications/Broadcast Journalism at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. Prior to graduating from William Paterson she completed an internship at both MTV Networks and FUSE in Manhattan, New York City. After graduation she worked at Fuse as a freelancer, then began her teaching career in September 2006 while continuing to freelance in the industry on the side. She received her Master of Science: Education Technology degree at Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2012.

She also holds a beauty makeup certificate from the Makeup Designory in New York City and is a freelance makeup artist.
In the summers you will find her either at a concert or spending time with family on the beach.
